Self esteem is a precarious factor that we possess simply because we are human. We are obsessed by the first impression we make on people and how they perceive us in return, and for all of us—from the time we were infants to the present—-we are constantly reinforcing the self esteem we have by how others react to us. Even the way our parents treat us, or tell us how they feel about us, either reinforces these feelings in our inner core of whether we are worth something or not.
